There's nothing more terrible than having your computer bricked because of a virus and being forced to buy a new one.
>>972 I've never had a virus, regardless of OS.
>never had a virus regardless of OS
>XP: Good
XP like 2000 was perfect it improved what 2000 already had, both 2000 and XP are good!
Also you forgot ME but we all know what me is like.
Correction.
>95: Good
95: Almost perfect. Would've been better if NT 4.0 also had some of the features that 95 had, like DirectX/DirectD3D. At least NTFS was a viable file system, better than FAT16/FAT32.
>98
98: Unstable piece of shit, simply garbage.
98SE: Also an unstable piece of shit, not even worth it for SSE and Plug & Pray. Enjoy your Active Desktop and side bar with defunct services LOL
>2000: Perfect
Good, much better than the mess that 98 (SE) is. Would've been a god send if it was more close to how NT 4.0 looked and worked then it would be perfect.
>Vista
Not terrible, not bad. RTM was a disaster, SP1 and beyond made it more stable and functional but given the bad reputation it had Microsoft was forced to make another Windows release. It also received its fair share of security features like UAC, Bitlocker and the like that were a necessity but that the general public didn't like for some reason. That doesn't mean IE was always a vulnerable piece of shit though.
>7
Not terrible, not bad. Same as Vista, for some reason extremely overhyped and liked, when Vista could have had the same treatment with Service Pack 1 and beyond.
>Anything past 8
Genuinely over.
